Netherlands Wood Packaging Marking Programme
In Dutch response to the introduction of the world standard, the Netherlands Wood Packaging Marking Programme (SMHV) was established. This foundation in the Netherlands regulates the marking system according to the world standard. Buyers and/or users of wood packaging are guaranteed smooth transport globally through this standard. Every Dutch producer, trader and/or repairer of wooden packages may file a request with SMHV for participation in the Dutch marking program. This is reviewed by an independent monitoring organization, SGS Nederland B.V., which in turn gives its opinion to the SMHV. After approval a unique registration number is given as part of the (international) mark.

The tasks of the SMHV include:
- Managing the audit institution.
- The conduct of the administration of applications and registration.
- Management of the website.
- Informing the registered.
- FAQ on Dutch program marking wooden packages.
